NMAT Registrations have started for the MBA Exam

National Management Aptitude Test is commonly abbreviated as NMAT and is conducted by Graduate Management Global Connections (India) Private Limited. It is for the students who are seeking admission into MBA (Masters in Business Administration). NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), MISB Bocconi, Xavier Group of Institutions, VIT University, Amity University, Thapar School of Management, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), SRM University and various other Institutions or Universities accept the NMAT Score.

Around 80,000 people give this exam every year. Last year the no. of total registrations were 82,928. NMAT gives the students a luxury that they can give exam whenever they want and they can reschedule their exam if they feel that they aren’t prepared. They can also retake their exam up to three times if they feel that they haven’t performed well. The date, time and venue of the exam will be allotted on first come first serve basis.

The exam will be conducted nationally and almost all the tier 1 and tier 2 cities will have exam centers.

The eligibility requirements for giving the exam is that the student must have passed his graduation with more than 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. There is no age limit on the candidates who can appear in this exam. However, applicants will have to check the eligibility criteria of the Institution or the University they want to apply for through NMAT as it maybe different.

NMAT registrations began on 4th July and will continue till 3rd October 2017. Applicants can schedule their exams from 4th July to 16 October 2017. NMAT’s late registration will begin from 4th October 2017 to 14th October 2017. Registrations for reappearing in the exam will take place from 6th October to 14th December 2017. Applicants can reschedule their exams between 4th July and 15th December 2017.

NMAT 2017 exam can be given between the dates 5th October to 18th December 2017. The result of the exam will be announced in the third week of January 2018.

The exam fees for NMAT 2017 is Rs. 1800 if the student registers between 4th July and 3rd October. The fee will be increased by Rs. 200 and will be made Rs. 2000 if the student registers from 4th October to 14th October. Fees for retaking of NMAT exam is Rs. 1800. Fee for rescheduling of the exam is Rs. 1000

The NMAT exam is a Computer Based exam which has 120 MCQ based questions which are to be answered in 2 hours. For an exception, there is no negative marking for questions that have been answered incorrectly. The exam is conducted in English language only. The paper will be divided into three parts i.e. Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning.

The candidates will have allotted time in which they will have to complete each section. There will be 32 questions from Language Skills which will have to be answered in 22 minutes,  48 questions from Quantitative Skills which will have to be answered in 60 minutes and 40 questions from Logical Reasoning which will have to be answered in 38 minutes.
